**Bottom line:** Spiff is a better fit if you want something your team can pick up quickly and use without heavy onboarding. Performio makes more sense if you're running complex commission structures and need enterprise-level audit controls and scalability.

Spiff keeps things accessible. The no-code plan designer lets you build and adjust payout plans fast, and reps get real-time visibility into their commissions without waiting for a finance rundown. If your team is already on Salesforce, the integration helps keep everyone on the same page. The tradeoff is that customization is limited, so if your plans get complicated, you may hit walls.

Performio takes a different approach. It's built around pre-built plan components and automatic audit logging, which gives finance and compliance teams a solid paper trail. The native report builder and configurable dashboards work well for organizations that need detailed sales comp data on demand. But the interface has a steeper learning curve, and generating reports can feel more involved than it should.

On price, Spiff starts at $99 per month and Performio starts at $50 per user per month. Depending on your team size, Performio's per-user model could add up quickly, while Spiff's flat monthly structure may be easier to budget for smaller teams.
