### Synopsis of User Ratings and Reviews

Based on an aggregate of Salesforce Sales Cloud reviews taken from the sources above, the following pros & cons have been curated by a SelectHub Market Analyst.

#### Pros

* **Easy To Use:** Many users report that Salesforce has a user-friendly and intuitive interface, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced users.
* **Good Vendor Support:** Salesforce offers quality support. Users often mention that the company treats them more like partners than just customers.
* **Highly Customizable:** Developers find that the level of customization provided by Sales Cloud helps them extend Salesforce's features effectively.
* **Scalability:** Salesforce is suitable for companies of all sizes. It's a long-term solution that can adapt to evolving organizational needs.

**What Users Like**

* **Customization:** “Salesforce is great in terms of customization and scalability. At one company, we needed deep automation and multi-step workflows that HubSpot simply couldn’t handle. With Salesforce, we built a fully automated lead-scoring system that tracked behavioral signals and assigned engagement levels dynamically.” - Mohbeen Qureshi, VP of Growth at [Oppizi](https://www.oppizi.com/us/en/)

#### Cons

* **Learning Curve:** While the interface is user-friendly, users need proper training to use Salesforce efficiently, especially for more advanced features.
* **Cost:** Several users, particularly from smaller organizations, point out that the overall price can be a concern for businesses with limited budgets.
* **Resource Intensive:** While Salesforce can do almost anything, it often requires a dedicated team and skilled resources to manage it effectively.

**What Users Dislike**

* **Technical Expertise:** “The platform has endless possibilities, but setting up workflows and reports takes time, especially for teams without a dedicated Salesforce expert.” - [Denise Murray](https://www.linkedin.com/in/niecyisms/), Marketing Manager at Microdose Mushrooms
* **Training Requirements:** “The learning curve is steep, and without an in-house admin or consultant, it’s easy to underutilize its capabilities.” - Mohbeen Qureshi, VP of Growth at Oppizi

#### Researcher's Summary:

Based on our research and user feedback, Salesforce Sales Cloud turned out to be a powerful and flexible CRM solution capable of accommodating businesses of any size.

Salesforce provides one of the most configurable platforms. In addition to customizing its standard programs, you can run, develop and optimize your own apps. [Salesforce App Cloud](https://www.salesforce.com/platform/) exists as a single ecosystem and helps you create and run all the personalized apps your organization needs.

In our analysis, Salesforce came out on top for sales performance management. It allows you to utilize AI-based coaching, set up campaign hierarchies, configure territories, create targeted sales campaigns, forecast sales, configure sales goals and establish territory hierarchies — all right out of the box. However, while Salesforce supports gamification with additional modules, other popular products like Zoho and Pipeliner offer full gamification support.

Beyond performance management, Salesforce also simplifies reporting. You can easily create new reports once you have all the details on leads, accounts, contacts and opportunities. The reports are straightforward and look like what you see in Excel sheets, making it easy to understand and use them for tracking sales and customer interactions.

Its AI-powered features, especially Einstein, truly set it apart. This tool provides predictive analytics, lead scoring, opportunity scoring and sentiment analysis to improve sales efficiency. I also found the mobile app to be feature-rich, offering full functionality for sales teams on the move, including forecasting and account management.

[Uber Eats](https://www.salesforce.com/resources/customer-stories/automating-workflows-uber-eats/) unified their customer service with Salesforce, replacing an inefficient process where agents searched 30 systems for issues like missing items or refunds. With MuleSoft integration, they can now automatically consolidate all customer information on a single screen, dramatically reducing resolution times.

They also integrated Einstein to predict case priorities and identify urgent matters, while Salesforce Flow simplifies restaurant sign-ups without coding. Restaurant owners now enjoy 24/7 support via chat, SMS and WhatsApp. This unified system functions effectively across all 6,000 cities where Uber Eats operates.

Even with these impressive benefits, some firms find Sales Cloud implementation challenging. Users have reported a learning curve for advanced features. While the basic functionalities are user-friendly, leveraging the full potential of Sales Cloud may require proper training. You may need to hire an expert or freelancer to get it up and running smoothly. Additionally, smaller organizations might find the pricing structure challenging, as costs can accumulate quickly with add-ons and advanced features.

Integration capabilities are generally strong, but some key functionalities, such as event tracking and eCommerce integrations, rely on third-party providers. This could add complexity and cost for businesses requiring these features.

Overall, Salesforce Sales Cloud is well-suited for organizations seeking a reliable, AI-enhanced CRM with extensive customization options and analytical capabilities. It's particularly valuable for businesses expecting growth, as the platform can scale effectively. However, potential users should carefully consider their budget, required features and available resources for implementation and management when assessing this CRM.

## Key Features

* **Sales Forecasting:** You can build accurate sales projections and custom forecast types based on various data points, measures and dates to get a clear picture of your future sales performance.
* **Lead Management:** With Sales Cloud, it’s easy to capture leads, manage campaigns and convert opportunities into sales. You can create forms on your website, use LinkedIn ads or have AI chatbots talk to potential customers. The Einstein Lead Scoring tool analyzes past conversion patterns to predict which current leads are most likely to convert, helping you prioritize the most promising prospects.
* **Einstein:** Salesforce’s predictive and generative AI capabilities can dramatically improve your sales team's efficiency. You'll receive AI-powered insights about deal closing strategies, risk assessment and audience targeting. It also comes with features like Call Explorer to improve your sales conversations with AI-driven questioning.
* **Salesforce Flow:** You can build sophisticated workflows using Flow Builder and Flow Orchestration's intuitive tools. Also, you can create intelligent automation sequences and integrate these flows with any external system to create comprehensive business solutions.
* **Integration Capabilities:** Connect Salesforce with your favorite tools and platforms. A wide range of plugins is available, enabling you to create a smooth workflow across all your applications.
* **Reporting and Analytics:** While the reporting system is user-friendly, quick and can generate real-time reports, it also offers flexibility for more advanced users who want to customize their reports. You can also create reports for territories and collaborative forecasts.
* **Mobile App:** Salesforce’s mobile app lets you create, edit and view records for accounts, campaigns, cases, contacts, forecasts and leads. Additionally, you can use Salesforce Chatter to see feeds, groups and people. What data you can access depends on your organization's settings.

**See It in Action: Creating a Custom Report in Salesforce Sales Cloud**

I originally wanted to test Salesforce's Einstein co-pilot features, but unfortunately, the free trial doesn’t include them. So, I moved on to the next best thing in Salesforce, which is reporting! I wanted to see how much I could get out of these tools.

1\. Starting from the **Home** page, I clicked on the **Reports** tab and selected **New Report**.

![Salesforce Sales Cloud Seller Home dashboard with key sales metrics.](https://www.selecthub.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Salesforce-Custom-Report-1.jpg)

![Salesforce Sales Cloud Reports page with 'New Report' button highlighted.](https://www.selecthub.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Salesforce-Custom-Report-2.jpg)

2\. Salesforce lets you create reports for literally any custom object in your system. I picked **Opportunities** to try out.

![Salesforce Sales Cloud 'Create Report' dialog, 'Opportunities' selected, 'Start Report' highlighted.](https://www.selecthub.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Salesforce-Custom-Report-3.jpg)

3\. This brought me to the preview of a general Opportunities report. I cleaned it up by removing irrelevant fields.

![Salesforce Sales Cloud Report Builder, 'Owner Role' and 'Fiscal Period' columns selected for removal.](https://www.selecthub.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Salesforce-Custom-Report-4.jpg)

4\. Next, I tried the filters. I selected the **Type** filter, set the operator to **equals**, chose **New Business** and clicked **Apply**. I was curious about how specific I could get with my data filtering.

![Salesforce Sales Cloud Report Builder, 'Add filter' option highlighted in the Filters panel.](https://www.selecthub.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Salesforce-Custom-Report-5.jpg)

![Salesforce Sales Cloud Report Builder, filtered report showing 'equals New Business' results.](https://www.selecthub.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Salesforce-Custom-Report-8.jpg)

I added another filter for **Lead Source** and set it to **Advertisement**. With both filters active, I could see all my opportunities that were new businesses and came through ads.

![Salesforce Sales Cloud Report Builder, 'Lead Source' field selected in the filter options.](https://www.selecthub.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Salesforce-Custom-Report-9.jpg)

5\. I also tested the filter logic to show opportunities where either condition was true.

![Salesforce Sales Cloud Report Builder, 'Add Filter Logic' option highlighted in the Filters panel.](https://www.selecthub.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Salesforce-Custom-Report-12.jpg)

6\. Then, I grouped my report by **Created Date** and organized columns by **Lead Source**. In a real business scenario, you can use this to see patterns in lead generation over time.

![Salesforce Sales Cloud Report Builder, 'Group Rows' and 'Created Date' selected for grouping the report.](https://www.selecthub.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Salesforce-Custom-Report-15.jpg)

![Salesforce Sales Cloud Report Builder, report grouped by 'Created Date' and 'Lead Source'.](https://www.selecthub.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Salesforce-Custom-Report-19.jpg)

Looking at my report, I noticed all opportunities had the same creation date! Of course, it was just demo data.

7\. Finally, I clicked **Save & Run**, which took me to the full report. I used the **Add Chart** option to turn my grouped data into nice visual charts that I could customize further. This would make anyone’s weekly presentations so much easier!

![Salesforce Sales Cloud Report Builder, 'Save & Run' button highlighted for saving and executing the grouped report.](https://www.selecthub.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Salesforce-Custom-Report-16.jpg)

Here’s how my report looked on the mobile app. Since matrix views aren’t available on mobile, I chose the tabular view instead.

![Salesforce mobile app showing the 'New Opportunities Report' on a phone screen.](https://www.selecthub.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Salesforce-Custom-Report-20.jpg)

While I was disappointed that the trial didn’t include Einstein, the reporting features impressed me. I like that Salesforce lets you create sophisticated reports for almost any data analysis you can imagine!

The UI is not too cluttered, even though the platform presents you with endless options. Everything is packed and placed in a way that makes sense. Creating really complex reports also becomes easy with Salesforce once you have the basics down.

It offers a range of features to simplify lead management and boost sales.Key benefits include AI-powered lead scoring, customizable dashboards, reporting tools and mobile access for on-the-go sales teams. Sales Cloud stands out for its scalability, making it suitable for businesses ranging from small startups to large enterprises.Users appreciate Sales Cloud for its user-friendly interface and extensive customization options. Many find Einstein’s AI capabilities to be game-changing for their sales strategies. However, some users note that there can be a steep learning curve for advanced features, and costs can add up quickly with additional modules and user licenses.Salesforce Sales Cloud is a good choice for businesses looking for a flexible solution, provided they're able to handle the potential complexity and cost associated with a top-tier CRM platform.IntegrationsSalesforce stands out with over 3,000 integrations, connecting you to a wide range of platforms, from marketing automation to scheduling software. This means it can seamlessly work with most of the leading platforms you’re already using.PricingPricing for Salesforce ranges from $25 - $500 per user per month, depending on the tier you choose. Our Research Process for Salesforce Sales CloudTo get a full picture of Salesforce, I created a free trial account to test it personally. I balanced my experience with other perspectives by exploring user reviews and the vendor's feature list. For more depth, I analyzed case studies and the CRM data from our software selection platform. I also watched several demos and tutorials to see the platform in action.I downloaded the mobile app to see how the features performed compared to the desktop version. The cherry on top was interviewing daily users who shared unfiltered feedback on using the platform in real world situations.",

"reviewBody": "Based on our research and user feedback, Salesforce Sales Cloud turned out to be a powerful and flexible CRM solution capable of accommodating businesses of any size.
Salesforce provides one of the most configurable platforms. In addition to customizing its standard programs, you can run, develop and optimize your own apps. Salesforce App Cloud exists as a single ecosystem and helps you create and run all the personalized apps your organization needs.
Uber Eats unified their customer service with Salesforce, replacing an inefficient process where agents searched 30 systems for issues like missing items or refunds.
However, potential users should carefully consider their budget, required features and available resources for implementation and management when assessing this CRM."
