line:** EpicCare is built for large hospitals and multi-facility health systems that need deep interoperability and complex workflow support. NextGen Enterprise fits practices of all sizes — especially those where mobile access and clean revenue cycle management matter most. EpicCare's strength is scale. It connects with labs, pharmacies and imaging systems through over a thousand APIs and supports FHIR and HL7 standards, which makes cross-institution data sharing relatively straightforward. Its AI tools for note generation and billing code suggestions are a real help for high-volume settings. NextGen Enterprise's integrations are more limited, and you'll often need to connect tools via API rather than out of the box. On mobile, the gap flips. NextGen Enterprise lets you dictate notes, upload photos and get real-time alerts from your phone, with a layout that adjusts to any screen. EpicCare's mobile tools don't support offline access, barcode scanning or photo uploads — which is a real limitation if your providers aren't always at a desk. NextGen also has stronger reporting features, including analytics that EpicCare doesn't match well on the clinical side. Both products are quote-based, so you'll need to contact each vendor for pricing. Neither publishes a standard rate.
