Infor CPQ makes more sense if you're selling configurable physical goods and need 3D visualization and manufacturing integration built into the quoting process.

Salesforce CPQ shines on the quote-to-cash side. Guided selling walks reps through configuration so they can produce accurate quotes without deep product knowledge. Renewal automation and a centralized pricing engine help reduce billing errors and keep the sales cycle moving. It connects tightly with Salesforce CRM, so customer data, contracts, and order history all live in one place.

Infor CPQ takes a different approach. Its rules-based configuration engine is built for products with complex physical permutations — think industrial machinery, aerospace components, or custom electronics. Sales reps can generate 2D drawings and 3D models directly from the quoting tool, which lets customers see exactly what they're ordering before anything goes to manufacturing.
