## What Is Klara?

A HIPAA-complaint patient engagement and telemedicine solution, Klara helps medical professionals provide quality by improving health care accessibility. It offers secure messaging and video calling options and enables clinics to better communicate with patients.

It records all patient communication from automated outreach to treatment recommendations during remote appointments and messaging between providers and patients.

##  Leadership

Simon Bolz and Simon Lorenz, co-founders and co-CEOs, founded Klara in 2013 after seeing the potential role the internet could play in optimizing patient-doctor communications.

Bolz holds a master degree in political science from The New School, NY. Prior to Klara, he touts experience as founder, CEO and advisor of several other product development companies in the health care industry.

Lorenz hails from a long line of medical doctors. He started his career at a hospital but soon changed paths. He quickly found his passion in alleviating health care challenges with innovation, leading him to co-found Klara. He completed MSc from ESCP Business School and earned a Ph.D in political science from Technical University of Munich.
