# Dundas Data Visualization, Inc.

Founded in 1992 in Ontario, Canada by Troy Marchand and David Cunningham

## What Is Dundas?

The company launched its first data visualization product, Dundas Chart in 2002\. They later built components for development, including Dundas Gauge for .NET and the Chart feature for OLAP. Their next venture was a dashboard module, initially a standalone product, which they subsequently integrated into a business intelligence and analytics software solution in 2014.

In August 2022, insightsoftware acquired Dundas Data Visualization.

##  Dundas Software Products

With version 8 and above, the vendor enabled deploying to Kubernetes using Docker containers. Dashboards and reporting are neatly packaged into one product package. Users can zoom in to view specific chart areas closely. Security is watertight, with the option to restrict login access to particular IP addresses. Here’s a closer look at some key components:

###  API-first Architecture

The browser-based platform is available on any device without any apps or downloads. Server and client APIs, SSO and authentication protocols support custom integration into other applications. HTML5 compatibility lets users embed a screen using iFrames. Or they can embed the entire application using its Embed library, supported by JavaScript and CSS3.

###  Workspaces

Exclusive workspaces enable managing dashboards, visualizations and reports in one place. The vendor provides a centralized repository for shared access, which stores images, maps, diagrams, styles and themes.

####  Integrations

The platform fully supports Apache Hive, Spark SQL, Google BigQuery, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and IBM DB2\. It integrates with Marketo, Pardot, Google AdWords, MongoDB, Cassandra, Apache, HBase, Twitter and Facebook.

####  Dashboards

The software enables creating and customizing pixel-perfect dashboards with pre-built templates and widgets. A rich visualization library includes bar graphs, scattergrams, pie charts, line graphs, radar charts, scorecards, trellis charts and maps.

##  Leadership

Troy Marchand, co-founder, President and CEO, has more than three decades of software development experience. In previous roles as developer and, later, Chief Architect, he’s helmed several award-winning software projects. His developer experience, combined with an innate sense of customer experience, make him a natural leader at Dundas.

David Cunningham is a co-founder of Dundas Data Visualization. He’s served as a board member of The Component Vendor Consortium and an advisor for the Microsoft VSIP Advisory Council and is recognized as an industry leader. His business and technology insight add to Dundas’s overall vision and direction.

Mariana Stoica-Constantin is the Chief Operating Officer at Dundas. She manages company operations, overseeing the planning, development and deployment of enterprise tech solutions. Passionate about facilitating data insight to customers, she strives to define new growth strategies and build cutting-edge customer success teams at Dundas.
