### Our Review 

**Bottom line:** Microsoft 365 Copilot is the better fit if your work already runs through Microsoft apps and you want AI that works inside those tools. Notion is the better fit if you need a flexible, customizable workspace to organize information, manage projects, and collaborate — and you want something that isn't locked to one vendor's ecosystem.

Copilot's biggest advantage is that it lives inside the apps you already use. It helps you draft in Word, build slides in PowerPoint, summarize email threads in Outlook, and capture action items from Teams meetings — all without switching context. If your team is deeply embedded in Microsoft 365, Copilot extends what you're already doing rather than adding a new tool to learn.

Notion takes a different approach. Instead of augmenting existing apps, it replaces several of them — combining notes, wikis, task lists, and databases into a single workspace. You can set up kanban boards, track projects in table views, embed rich media, and customize almost everything. That flexibility is powerful, but it comes with a real learning curve. Users note it can take significant time to get comfortable, and the interface can feel overwhelming on complex projects.

On pricing, Copilot starts at $30 per user per month, while Notion starts at $10 per seat per month with a freemium option. The gap is meaningful if you're managing a large team or working with a tight budget.

If you're already paying for Microsoft 365 and want AI woven into daily work, Copilot is a natural extension. If you need a flexible hub for information and project work — especially across a smaller or more tech-savvy team — Notion is worth the setup time. The tradeoff is depth of AI capability versus flexibility of workspace design.
