What we like about Limble and MaintainX: 

* Users find it one of the easiest CMMS platforms to pick up, even without prior CMMS experience.

Cons 

What we dislike about Limble and MaintainX: 

* Mobile app UI feels cluttered, especially in portrait mode, making navigation less smooth than the desktop version.
* Auto-start timer activates the moment you open a work order, which makes accurate labor time tracking tricky.
* The system doesn't support adding vendor and supplier contact info, which users flag as a gap.

* Reporting features lack the depth users need for detailed analysis and informed decision-making.
* Customization is limited, making it hard to build workflows, fields, or reports that match specific operational needs.
* Tracking the full work history of individual assets is difficult, according to user feedback.

### Our Review 

**Bottom line:** Limble is the better fit if you want a feature-rich CMMS with strong asset management and flexible preventive maintenance. MaintainX makes more sense if mobile access and team communication are your top priorities, or if you need compliance tools out of the box.

Limble starts at $28 per user per month. MaintainX starts at $16 per user per month. If you're on a tight budget and only need the basics, MaintainX is the more accessible entry point. But if your team depends on customizable reporting, predictive maintenance, or bulk asset management, Limble's added cost comes with real capability gains.

Limble's work order system is one of its strongest points. You can create a work order without having an asset in the system first, share it externally by email, and view everything in a color-coded calendar you can update with drag-and-drop. The bulk import tool — which handles up to 2,000 assets and auto-builds hierarchies — is a big time-saver during setup. MaintainX keeps work order creation simple and fast, and its communication hub connects teams across departments, shifts, and facilities in one place, which is something Limble doesn't match as directly.

MaintainX stands out for compliance. It includes inspection procedures, audit trails, escalation protocols, and quality control workflows without needing extra configuration. If you operate in a regulated environment or run regular safety audits, that's a meaningful advantage. Limble doesn't offer the same built-in compliance depth, though its customizable checklists and conditional logic in PM plans can cover some of that ground.

If you manage a multilingual workforce, MaintainX supports 16 languages. Limble's mobile app has more friction — the UI is cluttered in portrait mode and the auto-start timer causes time-tracking headaches. MaintainX's mobile experience is more polished, though some users report performance issues there too. For teams that live in the field, that distinction matters more than on a desktop.
