Limitations

  • Does not offer functionalities such as dashboard creation and OLAP
  • Limited functionality with respect to pivot reports
  • Users cannot save filters on cards or collections. A new page or sub-page has to be created each time there is a card or group for the same filter condition

I can connect different data through APIs to it and it allows for a lot of customization in ways that other software don't. I also appreciate the support team a lot and think they are industry best.
Not near enough ability to customize GUI. I would like so more say-so.

customer service reps are very pleasant and helpful. the UI and all info on dashboard is great - all info is in real-time too. love love love the dashboard.
a bit pricey. the reps started with one price during the trial but quoted another, much higher price, afterwards. it's all cloud-based so if your business is all central, that can add to cost, in addition to the hassle

I honestly do not have many postive things to say about this product. I tested this product on a trial basis recently to see if it was a viable solution to replace our dependency on tableau, but it did not live up to my expectations. The one thing I do like about this product vs. tableau is that it is much cheaper.
In comparison to tableau, the user interface is lacking. Tableau is all about not interrupting developers "flow" as they craft their data visualization. Domo, on the other hand, is clunky and not user friendly. It's unclear to me how they differentiate themselves from tableau...
I have a lot of experience using business intelligence software to visual complex datasets to my clients and this product does not compare to its competitors. I will not be using this software anytime soon.
